Kuwait New Medical Fees Starts 1st of October 2017


Kuwait Pubic Hospitals and Polyclinics New Medical Fee Structure starts on 1st of October 2017.

A. Primary Health Care and Admission:

  1. Clinic - 2KD per visit
  2. Casualty - 5KD per visit
  3. OPD - 10KD per visit
  4. Inpatient (General Room) - 10KD per day
  5. Inpatient (Private Room) - 50KD per day
  6. Inpatient (ICU) - 30KD per day
  • Casual and OPD fees include (Medication, plain X-ray, Routine investigations)
  • Hospital Admission fees DOES NOT include (Surgery, Lab investigation or X-Rays)


B. Delivery:

  1. Reception - 10KD
  2. Normal Delivery - 50KD
  • Normal delivery fees include (Delivery, Ultrasound, Medication, Investigations, 3 nights stay in the hospital).
  • After 3 nights patients will be charged 10KD/day for the General bed and 50KD/day for the Private room.

C. Open Heart Surgery:

  1. Diagnostic Catheterization - 90KD
  2. Stenting - 250KD/Stent
  • Procedure fees DOES NOT include (Medication, Investigations, X-Rays or Hospital admission)


Patients without Residency

  • Medication will not be issued for these patients ONLY when they are admitted in the Hospital (Casualty, Wards or ICU)

Patients Exempted from Fees

  1. Students with scholarship of Ministry of Education.
  2. All the employees of MOH, their spouses and children as well (for Radiology and Nuclear Medicine) according to the following conditions;
    a. Spouse and children must have a valid Residency
    b. Daughter should not be married or working
    c. Son before reaching age of 21. Unless he is studying in college (and NOT working) so will extend till reached age of 25 (has to provide official documents for that).
  3. Expat Prisoners are exempted from all the fees
  4. Wife of Kuwaiti and Mother of Kuwaiti
  5. Social Welfare Residents
  6. Expat Children of a Kuwaiti mother
  7. Handicapped Children of a Kuwaiti mother
  8. Travelers coming to Kuwait as a Transit and has Emergency Medial Issues.
  9. Home Maid Accomodation
  10. Bedoon with valid Card from MOI
  11. The members of the Official Delegations during their stay in Kuwait

A Pakistani and a Filipino apprehended in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia with 4.31 kg of “shabu” in their possession


JEDDAH, KSA – The Ministry of Interior in Jeddah busted a drug cell that managed to smuggle a large quantity of the crude drug known as “SHABU” (Methamphetamine). The security authorities have been monitoring the attempts of criminal networks to take advantage of the Haj season to smuggle and traffic drugs in the Kingdom. 



The Security Authorities storming the hideout of the culprits and arrested two Asians, a Pakistani and a Filipino. The drug cell apprehended with 4.31 kg of “shabu” in their possession.

The cell comprised a Pakistani and a Filipino. Both were arrested. They were apprehended with 4.31 kg of crude “shabu” in their possession, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted the Security Spokesman of the Ministry of Interior as stating Saturday.
Drug trafficking and other heinous crimes is punishable by death in the Kingdom.

Sa mga OFWs.. Ang Bureau of Customs ay nagbigay ng limang (5) alituntunin na dapat sundin at tandaan upang mas protektado at safe ang inyong padalang Balikbayan Box para sa inyong mga mahal sa buhay na nasa Pilipinas.. at kung gusto nyong ma-avail ang duty and tax free privilege.




Duty and Tax Free Balikbayan box para sa qualified Filipinos abroad.


1. Humingi ng infomation sheet sa inyong Consolidator o i-download ang Balikbayan Information Sheet website ng Bureau of Customs.

2. Ilista ang bilang at approximate na halaga ng items na ilalagay sa inyong Balikbayan Box.

3. Idikit sa loob ng Balikbayan Box ang photocopy ng inyong passport at ang Information Sheet na inyong sinulatan matapos fill-up-an ng inyong consolidator.

4. Kailangan lamang ang resibo kung ang isang item ay mahigit sa PhP10,000,00.

5. Tandaan, personal at household effects lamang ang pwedeng ilagay sa Balikbayan Box / Boxes.

Pahayag Tungkol sa Isyu ng Balikbayan Box

Pahayag tungol sa isyu ng Balikbayan Box, ayon kay Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon ng BOC.

STATEMENT ON THE BALIKBAYAN BOX ISSUES:

Good morning po mga kababayan lalo na sa ating mga OFW, May balikbayan box program po tayo na TAX EXEMPTION para sa mga Pilipino na nais magpadala ng balikbayan box para sa kanilang pamilya. Hindi po ito mandatory. Para lang po ito sa mga nais mag avail ng BALIKBAYAN BOX TAX EXEMPTION. Pero yun gustong manatiling magbabayad ng buwis ay okay lang po yun kasi nakakatulong po kayo sa ating bayan sa pamamagitan ng inyong binabayad na buwis.

June 2016 pa po naisabatas ng Kongreso ang Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA) at December 2016 pa po nailabas ang guidelines regarding balikbayan boxes. Naka apat na po kaming extension sa pagpapatupad nito.

Just to clarify po ang pagffill up po ng information sheet at pagpprovide ng resibo, para lang po yun sa mga Pilipino na magpapadala ng balikbayan box sa kanilang pamilya na nais mag avail ng tax exemption under Sec 800 (g) ng CMTA. Mas makakatipid po kayo kung mag aavail po kayo ng tax exemption na ito kasi po under the balikbayan box program, tinanggal po ang buwis na babayaran nyo.

Ang balikbayan box program po ay nagbibigay ng pagkakataon sa mga OFWs na magpadala ng P150,000 worth of household and personal effects sa loob ng isang taon na walang bayad na buwis.




Ngayon po, ang information sheet ay kailangan fill up pan. Ito po ay parang packing list ngunit mas comprehensibo upang makasiguro kayo na tama ang matatanggap ng inyong pinaldalhan. Ngunit di po kailangan ang passport kung di po kayo mag avail ng tax and duty free exemption.

Doon naman po sa mga nais mag avail, nakasaad po sa batas na kung ikaw ay Pilipino at nais mong magpadala sa iyong pamilya o kamag-anak, tax free po ito hanggang P150,000 sa loob ng isang taon.

Ang paglilista po ng items nyo ay para po sa proteksyon ninyo. Ito po ay para masiguro na ang ipinadala nyo ay yun din ang matatanggap sa Pilipinas.

Hindi po kailangan ng resibo pag used items, groceries, regalo, at sa mga bagay na mas mura Sa P10,000.00. Ang inyong kailangan ilagay ay tansya or approximate amount lamang.

Halimbawa, ang t-shirt na una'y nabili ng P500.00 at gamit na ay pwedeng ideclara ng P100.00 pesos.

Kailangan lang po ng resibo pag brand new at nagkakahalaga ng higit Sa P10,000.00 ang isang bagay.

Ito po at pribileyiho at isang regalo ng gobyerno sa ating mga kababayan. Kaya po tayo'y nananawagan at umaapela sa likas na kabutihan ng ating mga kakababayan na wag po itong abusuhin. Para sa TUNAY NA PAGBABAGO.

Advisory: Philippine Embassy in Doha

The Philippine Embassy in Doha (Qatar) issued an Advisory to all Filipinos living and working in the State of Qatar.

On June 5, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and the Kingdom of Bahrain announced the severance of diplomatic ties with the State of Qatar. This was followed by similar statements of diplomatic withdrawal by Egypt, Yemen, Libya and Maldives. As a result, Etihad Airlines, and other regional carriers have suspended flights to and from Doha. In view of these developments, Filipino travelers are advised to consult their travel agents to ensure unhampered travel arrangements. The Philippine Embassy in Doha calls on all Filipinos in Qatar to remain calm and exercise prudence as we all closely monitor the situation.
